My name is Ewander Payne, I am the director of Open Arms Learning and Development Center. All the children and parents know me by Ms. Payne. I am the mother of three, Britney 20, Keneshia 21, and Kendall 13 and a grandmother of one, Mykera age 4. Keneshia and Britney regularly work and volunteer to devote their time at the center teaching and caring for the children. I am very honored to be the director of Open Arms. I began working with children in the childcare field at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in 1999. I've encountered many wonderful days of working with infants through kindergarten. My most wonderful experience was teaching the kindergarteners for 3 years. Being lead to excel further. I became the director at Open Arms in 2008 at True Word of Life Church. In 2012 God expanded and relocated Openarms to 5855 Wares Ferry Road, where I am currently working as Director. As a director, I strive to create an atmosphere for the children that is safe, nuturing, fun and full of learning opportunities. My learning experiences have allowed me to develop skills in decision making, enjoy interacting with a variety of children of all ages, and to develop such a great love for them and my job as a teacher and administrator. Each day is different, and the children are a constant source of amazement. They are fun to work with, and watching them learn and grow is extremely rewarding. I thank God for the gift He has given me to share with others.
